The Programme

What Is The Human Tools Experience?

I.

What it is.

The Human Tools Experience is a five-day cognitive skills programme that helps you identify the thinking errors, cognitive biases, and habitual reactions controlling your decisions, relationships, and daily behaviour.

Replacing them with the most important skills you can learn. How to think, make decisions, and solve problems deliberately.

II.

What you do.

It is a deeply personal and deeply revealing experience, where the curriculum is you.

You’ll learn the most evidence-based techniques in modern psychology, taught as tools, applied in real time to your own life.

Your thoughts. Your decisions. Your patterns. Your problems. Not theory. Not concepts. The work of becoming someone who thinks, decides, and lives deliberately.

III.

How long it takes.

The full process runs for 120 days.

It begins with five days live in Cape Town. Wednesday to Sunday. Eight to six. Fifty hours in one room with one cohort, doing the deepest work you’ve ever done on yourself.

Then 115 days of structured online integration. Because knowing doesn’t change you. Doing does.

On Day 120 you graduate. Black Tie gala dinner. In the same room the journey began.

DON'T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT.
TAKE THEIRS.

OUR PEOPLE AGREE.
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING.

What You Learn

Four disciplines. One programme.

  1. 01
Problem-solvingDefine the real problem before you try to solve it. Most adults skip this step and pay for it for decades.
  2. 02
Decision-makingChoose well under stress, emotion, and incomplete information. The single skill that compounds across every area of your life.
  3. 03
Critical thinkingQuestion your own thoughts. Spot the distortions hiding in your reasoning. Stop confusing certainty with truth.
  4. 04
Psychological flexibilityThe ability to step back from your thoughts, see your thoughts as thoughts, hold them lightly, and choose your response instead of reacting.
What You Leave With

What you leave with.

01

You leave lighter.

You leave with the patterns that ran your life named, examined, and dismantled.

You leave with the decisions you’d been avoiding either made or properly held.

Arguments resolved. Beliefs updated. The loop in your head quieter than it has been in years.

02

You leave with skills.

The ability to stop a spiralling thought. The ability to spot a distortion in your own reasoning.

The ability to live by your own values instead of by inherited rules. The ability to ask the right questions, of yourself and of others.

The ability to make a decision and let it stand.

03

You leave with direction.

A sense of purpose, meaning, and direction.

Not because we gave it to you, but because removing what was in the way let yours come through.

Yours. Finally.

The Curriculum

The curriculum is you.

You bring the actual problems running your life right now.

The decision you’ve been avoiding for two years. The argument you keep having. The pattern you can see but can’t break. The thing you’ve never said out loud to anyone.

These aren’t side material. They are the curriculum.

We don’t workshop hypotheticals. We don’t analyse case studies. We use the tools of modern psychology — Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, decision science, behavioural science — on the thing that’s been costing you sleep.

By Day 5, most people walk out with nothing left on the list.

Is This For You?

Read this before you apply.

Who this is for

Mother. Father. Boss. Builder. Partner. Friend.

Whatever you do, whoever you are.

From the outside it looks fine. Inside, you know there’s more.

You’ve tried things. Read the books. Watched the podcasts. Got somewhere, then ended up back at the same window looking at the same view.

You’re tired in a way sleep doesn’t fix. You have the same conversation in your head on a loop. You’re competent at everything except being yourself.

You want to change. You’re willing to do the work.

If that’s you, this works.

Who this isn’t for

  • You want to feel better for a week, then go back to your life.
  • You’re hoping someone else will do the work for you.
  • You can’t sit with a hard truth about yourself for more than 24 hours.
  • You’re looking for a place to hide, not a place to change.
  • You’re in active crisis. You need clinical support, not a behavioural intensive.

Questions

Everything you need to know.

No. It’s education. The practical skills of thinking, deciding, and solving problems. No diagnosis. No treatment. Just tools.
Because this doesn’t happen on a screen. What shifts in that room happens between real people in real time. That’s not a limitation — it’s the point.
115 days of structured follow-up — 20 to 30 minutes a day online, plus bi-weekly live Zoom classes. We’re not interested in you forgetting this by the weekend.
Hundreds of people. Every cohort we’ve measured has shown the same result — a measurable change in how people solve problems, make decisions, and think clearly. The only variable that has ever changed the outcome is willingness to show up.
Until now we have never advertised. Every person in every room came because someone who had already been there told them to go. This is the first time we have opened spots beyond referral.
Daily snacks, tea, coffee and lunch. The full course. Workbook. 115-day follow-up. Graduation black-tie gala dinner.
Flights. Accommodation. Transport to and from the venue.

No. Please contact your embassy or South African VFS directly for all visa requirements.
Currently fully booked until December 2026. New dates will be released. We have a very active waitlist, and people do cancel — dates sometimes come available on a first-come, first-served basis. Fastest way to be considered is to book a call or join the waitlist.
70 people. We cap it. We’ve turned down full rooms to keep it that size.
No. You decide what you share, when, and with whom. The work is yours — we hand you the tools, you choose how publicly you use them.
This is psychoeducation, not clinical treatment. If you’re in active crisis, you need clinical support first. Otherwise, we discuss it on the discovery call to check this is the right fit for you.
Wednesday to Sunday, 8am to 6pm. Five days, on site, in the room.
Each seat is one person. If your partner wants to attend, they apply separately for the same or a future cohort.
The 5 days are a sequence. Each day builds on the last. You’re expected at all 5. We don’t refund for non-attendance and we don’t run catch-up sessions.
Pricing and payment options are walked through on the discovery call. That’s also where we check fit.
You commit to the experience, not to a date.

Reserve your seat with a deposit. Your date is flexible — change it any time, subject to availability.

You only pay the balance seven days before the cohort you actually attend.

No locked-in dates. No paying for something you’re not turning up to.
You can move your booking to any other date within 12 months at no cost, subject to availability.
If you genuinely can’t afford the programme, we offer bursaries. Apply via a discovery call.

Please only use this option if you honestly can’t afford it. We’ve made the programme as affordable as we can with payment plans — the bursary is reserved for people for whom that still isn’t enough.
The course is designed to limit the impact. You only need three days off — Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Saturday and Sunday are your weekend.

But the question isn’t can you. It’s are you willing to do something for you?

When was the last time you took three days off for you?
No. It’s science-based, researched, and proven to work across thousands of people. Read about the method to learn more.
Check our trainer page.
Absolutely. Check our social media — you never hear anything from inside the room. Ever.
Only if you wish to give a testimonial at the end — which is completely up to you.
All food is halal. Other dietary requirements will be catered for — let us know when you book.
Casual. Comfy. Come as you are. Graduation dinner is black tie.
Why Attend

Why you should attend.

Because

the average adult does not get the cognitive and behavioural education that makes life manageable.

Because

almost everything you think is a personal flaw is a missing skill.

Because

the tools that work for the most stuck, anxious, and depressed people in clinical care also work — better and faster — for well people who simply want to live more clearly.

Because

50 hours of focused work in five days, applied to your actual life, produces a depth of change that ordinary life rarely allows for and weekly therapy cannot produce.

Because

750+ people have done this, recommend it, and the only complaint we have ever heard is that they wish they’d done it sooner.

And because

The five days are not the end. The 115 days that follow make sure the person you became in the room is the person you remain.
