Refund & Cancellation.
1. Cooling-Off Period
If you book your place on the Human Tools Experience via our website (an electronic transaction), you are entitled to cancel within 7 (seven) days of completing your booking, for any reason and without penalty, in accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
To exercise this right, send a written cancellation notice to info@humantools.co.za within 7 days of your booking date. We will refund your full payment within 15 business days.
2. Cancellation by You
If you cancel your booking after the cooling-off period:
More than 30 days before your cohort start date
- Full refund less a R500 (ZAR) administration fee; OR
- Transfer to a future cohort at no additional cost (subject to availability)
15 to 30 days before your cohort start date
- 50% refund of the Programme fee; OR
- Transfer to a future cohort at no additional cost (subject to availability)
Less than 15 days before your cohort start date
- No refund
- You may transfer to a future cohort (subject to availability) within 12 months of your original booking date
All cancellation requests must be made in writing to info@humantools.co.za.
3. Pay-On-Results Guarantee
The Human Tools Experience is offered on a pay-on-results basis. You pay a deposit to secure your place, and the balance becomes payable only if the Programme works for you.
Your results are measured before the Programme begins and again on the final day, using four validated instruments: the SPSI-R:S Negative Problem Orientation (NPO) subscale, the PHQ-9, the GAD-7, and the Cognitive Distortions Questionnaire (CD-Quest). Your before and after results are presented to you on the final day so that any change is clearly visible.
An improvement on any one of the four instruments constitutes a result. Where you improve on at least one instrument, the balance of the Programme fee becomes payable and your direct debit mandate is submitted so the remaining instalments are collected on the agreed schedule.
If you attend all five days of the live training in full, complete the full workbook, and your score does not improve on any of the four instruments, your direct debit mandate is not submitted and your deposit is refunded in full within 15 business days. No questions asked. If you come, attend, and do the work, and it does not work for you, you are refunded in full.
Attendance is a condition of this guarantee. The guarantee and any refund of your deposit apply only where you have attended every full day of the live training. No refund is given under any circumstances where you have not attended all of the training sessions.
4. Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a cohort due to insufficient enrolment, venue issues, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If we cancel a cohort:
- You will receive a full refund within 15 business days; OR
- You may transfer to a future cohort at no additional cost
We are not liable for any travel, accommodation, or other costs you may have incurred in connection with a cancelled cohort.
5. Refund Method
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method. If the original method is unavailable, we will arrange an alternative method in consultation with you. Refunds are processed in the currency in which payment was received.
6. Consumer Protection
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, POPIA, or any other applicable South African legislation.
